CHEMICAL PEELS
As collagen production decreases with age, the skin is less resilient and healthy looking. A chemical peel is a proven method to increase collagen production while treating wrinkles, sun spots and acne scarring. By varying the amount of chemical that is applied to the skin, the depth of the peel is determined.
Cosmetic Surgery of New York offers several types of chemical peels, depending on your skin’s requirements. In our skin care center, a superficial peel addresses the outer layers of skin, resulting in a healthy glow that lasts for several weeks. Repeating the treatment is necessary to maintain your results. These peels are performed on an outpatient basis and require no anesthesia.
