THE BASICS OF SURGERY
When you have this procedure, the surgeon inserts implants under your breast tissue in order to change the size and shape of your breasts. The procedure typically takes an hour or two.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Immediately after surgery, you will be dressed in a support bra. You will need to have a friend or family member drive you home which will be shortly after you are awake and alert. Once you arrive home, you’ll be expected to rest for the first few days allowing you to slowly get back to your normal routine as the pain and swelling subside and healing occurs. Please note, it is important that you avoid heavy lifting and strenuous exercise for a few weeks to ensure the area has a chance to heal as your implants settle into place.
