As an important part of the recovery process after getting breast implants, massage will help to break up any scar tissue that may be forming as your body is healing from surgery. However, before you start to massage your breasts, it’s important to know exactly how to massage them so that you get the best results.
Step 1: Before you start massaging your breasts and implants, remove your top and bra.
Step 2: With both hands on one breast, start applying gentle pressure in order to move the implant down and away from your natural breast tissue for about 10 seconds. By separating the implant away from the breast tissue, you’ll help to prevent against any scar tissue from forming— which can be painful later on. When applying pressure, make sure that you are applying enough to move the implant but not so much that you’re experiencing pain. Although you won’t rupture your implant when applying pressure, you don’t want to injure yourself in the process.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 on each breast every day for about 1-2 weeks or as your doctor recommends.
