Arm Lift
Brachioplasty (arm lift) is a surgical procedure to remove the loose, hanging skin that often develops on the underside of the upper arm as a result of aging and weight loss. Brachioplasty is ideal for patients who have an excessive amount of hanging skin and/or fat that does not respond to diet and exercise.

A traditional brachioplasty leaves a scar that can limit its usefulness.

Our minimal-incision arm lift may be performed. This is a less invasive way to remove excess fat and tissue, and requires only a smaller incision in the underarm area.
Brachioplasty
Procedure
Brachioplasty is performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. Depending on the amount of skin and fat that are removed, patients are able to return home the same day.
Recovery
Compression garments are worn to limit swelling. The results of brachioplasty are visible right away, but become more apparent as swelling and bruising subsides.
Risks
In addition to the risks associated with any surgery, those related to brachioplasty depend on which procedure you do. You will discuss them with your surgeon.
