Cosmetic Surgeon Long Island – Know More About Dr. Misholy
Ever since his teens, Dr. Misholy has been finding beauty in form and structure. At sixteen he completed his first sculpture and has been finding the beauty within wood, stone and bronze ever since. In addition to his talent in the plastic arts, he played the flute as young man and spent time at sea as a marine engineer in the Israeli Merchant Fleet.
It is no exaggeration to describe him as a Renaissance healer, where art, science and humanity forge an individual driven by inspiration and possibilities. When asked why he ultimately chose medicine over engineering, Dr. Misholy contrasted the professions by saying “Engineering and structure are finite, but medicine and plastic surgery are constantly evolving and present greater challenges. The rewards are greater, too, and come one patient at a time. For me, there is nothing better.”
Dr. Misholy specializes in face lifts and places particular focus upon post-bariatric surgery, where patients face multiple challenges.
After graduating from Columbia University in New York with a B.S., Dr. Misholy attended the University of Missouri Medical School in Columbia, MO and graduated in 1977.
He completed his general surgery residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, and in 1981 he completed a fellowship in microsurgery and clinical research at the University of Missouri Medical Center. His residency in plastic surgery was at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Dr. Misholy joined CSNY in 1983.

Dr. Misholy has been practicing on Long Island since finishing his plastic surgery residency in 1983. He is married, the father of two grown children and speaks several foreign languages.
