Our surgical facility is accredited by the AAAASF (American Association of Accredited Ambulatory Surgical Facilities), the gold standard in accreditation, which means our facility meets 100 percent of their strict criteria. In order to become accredited by the AAAASF, the following standards must be met:
- Outpatient and office-based facilities are held to hospital standards.
- Surgeons must be board certified and have hospital privileges for any procedure that is performed in a surgical facility.
- Adherence to a safe surgical environment, equipment and drugs through strict standards in surgical facilities is required.
- Medical case data must be tracked within HIPAA privacy regulations through peer review. Accreditation specialists ensure strict adherence to the accreditation process and patient safety.*On a case-by-case determination, if deemed necessary, certain major surgeries or patients with medical problems might be performed in the hospital as an outpatient or require an overnight stay.

YOUR COMPLIMENTARY COSMETIC SURGERY CONSULTATION
The first step toward a new look is your initial plastic surgery consultation at our Port Jefferson office. At this time, you will meet with the doctor to discuss your expectations and learn about the variety of cosmetic procedures and likely outcomes for each. Our complimentary computerized imaging system helps you to visualize results prior to surgery.
A brief medical history will be taken, and a general assessment of your health will be made. You will also be instructed how to prepare for your procedure and what to expect afterwards.
There is never a fee for an initial cosmetic surgery consultation. Please give the office at least 24 hours notice if you are rescheduling, so that we may offer the time slot to another patient.
